We provide fly-in, fly-out charters in support of mining, oil and gas projects.
National Jet Express (NJE) is one of Australia’s leading providers of fly-in fly-out (FIFO) services, with operations across Australia, supporting contracted services to around 25 mining, resources and construction companies.
NJE’s FIFO services are designed specifically to meet individual customer requirements, as well as performance and operational requirements in remote areas.
NJE offers both the 104-110 seat Embraer E190 jet and 76-82 seat De Havilland Q400 turboprop aircraft to support its clients.
NJE understands that safety, reliability and consistency are essential for FIFO services. In order to deliver to our customers a high performing service, we:
- Operate modern aircraft;
- Conduct both line and heavy maintenance in-house, in Australia;
- Preserve a wide inventory of spares;
- Are supported by a 24/7 operations team;
- Have planning and maintenance recovery provisions.
Our on-time performance scores exceed the industry average. Our schedule integrity is further assured with the availability of back-up aircraft and long-standing cross-hire agreements.

Bespoke Solutions to Remote Aerodromes
National Jet Express (NJE) is at the forefront of the industry in its ability to provide bespoke solutions to support customers into some of Australia’s most remote and challenging airports.
The modern, fuel-efficient Embraer E190 and De Havilland Q400 aircraft are the most capable aircraft in their classes and allow NJE to provide safe, regular and reliable services to locations around Australia.
For example:
- NJE operates regular services to some of the hottest (Marble Bar, WA) and coldest/highest (Cooma, NSW snowy mountains) locations in Australia
- NJE’s Q400 aircraft are fitted with gravel kits, which enables us to operate into a range of unsealed airstrips around Australia. NJE’s Q400 is the largest capacity passenger transport aircraft in Australia to be able to operate into unsealed runways
