We regularly seek Captains and First Officers across our fleet of Q400, E190 and BAe146 aircraft. Entry requirements vary across the fleet.

Cabin crew

Our cabin crew are renowned for providing an exemplary, personalised customer experience every time. They play an important role in supporting our charter and FIFO operations across both metropolitan and remote destinations across Australia.

Our engineers make up a large portion of our workforce and play a significant role in supporting our operations.

We regularly seek passionate, team and safety focused engineers to join us across a wide variety of roles, including licenced and non-licenced aircraft maintenance engineers.


Licensed and Non-Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers

Our engineers are critical to the success of our operations. Based all around the country, these roles support the on-time performance and reliability of our fleet, and the safety of our passengers and crew.


Our line maintenance engineers support our Bombardier Q400, Embraer 190 and BAe146/Avro RJ series aircraft types at a number of bases across Australia. Engineers perform a variety of roles including flying spanners, Aircraft on Ground (AOG) rescues and short/long-term deployments.


Our base maintenance engineers in Adelaide carry out heavy maintenance in support of our fleet. Additionally, engineers in Adelaide carry out and support both major and minor modifications and integrations.

Ground handling staff

Our ground handling staff manage the operations and activities associated with the arrivals and departures of our aircraft.

National Jet Express’s Ground Handling Agents are responsible for conducting all ground operations tasks associated with the safe, efficient and on-time arrivals and departures connected to the daily operation aspects of our business. The tasks involved include:

·         Monitoring of aircraft movement

·         Loading and unloading of baggage and cargo

·         Aircraft waste and water servicing

·         Aircraft cleaning

·         Aircraft Receipt and Dispatch

·         Acceptance and handling of freight and cargo

·         Assist with passenger check-in

·         Ensure customer service levels and client relationships are maintained to the highest standard

·         Holding safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of Zero Harm and an incident/injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position.

Skills and Experience


·         Driver’s licence

·         Ability to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)

·         Ability to hold a relevant airport authority to drive airside licence


·         Dangerous Goods Qualifications

·         Previous airport/aviation experience

·         Experience in airport/ aircraft operations

·         Experience in Customer Service and team working environment

·         Proficient in Microsoft Word/ Excel and Outlook

·         All applicants must be eligible to live and work in Australia and be capable of obtaining security clearances, if required.
