Our Fleet

Q400

De Havilland Dash 8-Q400

With a high-speed cruise 160 km/h faster than conventional turboprops, the Q400 operates within minutes of jet schedules. The Q400 has a 30% reduction in fuel burn compared to competing jets, radically reducing carbon emissions, and increasing cost efficiency. The larger propeller operates at a lower RPM, generating more power with less noise. The Q400 complies with the requirements of a category 3C airfield.

NJE has carefully selected and configured its growing fleet of 13 Q400s. The optional Enhanced High Gross Weight configuration was selected to improve range and avoid fuel requirements at remote outport further reducing cost.  Several of our aircraft are equipped with gravel kits which allow operations into unpaved aerodromes.

The Q400’s more advanced avionics and systems provide increased operational reliability and safety. The ‘glass cockpit’ design improves pilot’s situational awareness improving safety in challenging weather conditions.
